Mr. Holmes Goes to Washington

Many of you know I was traveling during a lot of May and June.  Along with attending a number of conferences, I also had a handful of speaking gigs.  The most notable event was a symposium put on by the Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security, Mr. John Morton.

It was an honor to get this personal invitation and to be included in the distinguished lineup that presented.  C-SPAN was there and covered the public sessions.

My talk was one of my most popular and was entitled “Jeans For Jihad” where I take the audience through cases and research conducted by my office that link the Lebanese mafia (a.k.a. terrorist funding networks) to the counterfeit trade in the United States.  It was well-received and, as a result, I was invited by the Office of the US Attorney General to speak at a summit being held in Los Angeles in September.  If you get a chance to see me give this talk, you may find it pretty enlightening.

I was very excited to receive this letter in the mail the other day in recognition of my participation and wanted to share it with you.
